Tuesday, October 6, 2015: Hi Sam. Today I am on my way to Denver for the day. It’s a quick day trip for business. This trip started with a very brief layover in Phoenix before jetting up to Denver. The airport in Phoenix is massive. I have flown in and out of here many times. It’s like it’s own little city. Phoenix is not the only city with an airport like this, but still worth noting. I rarely fly US Airways however today I am. Their west coast hub is Phoenix. While your connecting flight can be the same airline, the terminals are so big in Phoenix that bit could take 15-20 minutes to go from gate to gate. US Airways recently merged with American Airlines making it the largest airline in the world by far. It came as no surprise to see they are still trying to work the kinks out merging all those systems together. Under the circumstances, this could not have gone smoother. At the same time I realized how much I did not miss the “big airline experience”. I love Southwest Airlines and JetBlue Airlines. They are considered “mid-majors” but the flying experience is far superior. It’s been said that any fool can make something complicated, however to make something simple is much harder. I could not agree more. I LOVE YOU SAM!!!
