2-years, 10-months, 7-days into Samantha’s abduction

Saturday, September 17, 2011: Good Morning Princess! I am excited to see you. It’s the first day of the new arrangements. Adriana Coronel Tenorio (AKA Adriana Howitt Coronel, Ari Coronel, Ari Coronel Tenorio, Ari Howitt, Ari Howitt Coronel) is definitely hating life right now. She informs me you have dance lessons between 9:00 and 10:30 in the morning. She will have to find another day. However, because this was last minute she can go ahead with the plans for this Saturday while we had the therapy session scheduled from the week before. That’s fair.

So, I get to the therapist’s office and stench still has not cleared from Thursday. The added drama from a few minutes before did not help. Top all that off with Adriana almost run over the camera man yesterday certainly was going to make this an interesting day. These two got right after it. The 900-pound (408kg) gorilla in the room. The email response to this therapist after she felt compelled to write me on Adriana’s behalf to start the extortion discussion. After getting permission to re-read my response to her out load, she tells Adriana very explicitly that she will not be able to help us if she does not start to tell the truth.

Like I have always said, forgiving and forgetting are two different things. Adriana has never said she was sorry for anything she has done. Never. In the almost 7-years I have known her, her actions have always been opposite of what she says. I ended by telling both the therapist and Adriana that she can say all these wonderful things to me or to her in that office but the chances are almost zero that she will do anything about it herself when we leave. They can read into that whatever they want. This has been a complete nightmare that does not appear will end any time soon. With that, the meeting ended. I sat down in the stairwell, head in hands and cried.

When I get to the house, you are not home. Adriana could not even tell me the truth about when your dance lessons ended. She told me 10:30 and you did not get back to the home until after 12:00. When you did finally arrived, you ran over to me and gave me a giant Samy hug and kiss. I wanted to feel the day out even though we could have left anytime. Adriana was on her way to San Filipe to work. We had to deal with Maria Guadalupe Tenorio Toledano (AKA Lupita Tenorio, Marsha Tenorio) and Omar Mireles Martinez the rest of the day.

For the most part we stayed to ourselves and had a great time. You plastered me with all kinds of stickers, then it was to your playhouse for some time. The housekeeper made lunch for us. It was then where you showed Maria Guadalupe how much you love your Dad. You sat in my lap rather than in a chair, then grabbed my arm to wrap it around you. Then out of nowhere you planted a kiss on my cheek. It was awesome! The rest of the time we were doing a variety of things with Jenga, your toys and even the pet pig got into the act. Eventually we made it out onto the upstairs patio to make a fort out of blankets. I love the smell of the ocean breeze. In that moment you curled up in my arms and fell asleep. I picked you up and placed you under the covers and laid down next to you caressing your hair, enjoying every second even your little snores. I did not want that moment to end. I would not have been able to enjoy that had I been forced to leave at 4:00 as we were used to. Leaving at 8:00 does not making it easier but by that time it’s almost bedtime for you anyway. I LOVE YOU SAM! KISSES MY PRINCESS!!!
