Thursday, October 20, 2011: The judge in the criminal case finally made her decision. She decided she waiting long enough for us to come around on her offer to bribe her and rendered a split decision. The judge ruled that it’s obvious Adriana Coronel Tenorio (AKA Adriana Howitt Coronel, Ari Coronel, Ari Coronel Tenorio, Ari Howitt, Ari Howitt Coronel) is blatantly lying. The judge also mentioned that it’s obvious that I did not cause her any bodily harm to Adriana whatsoever, thus I do not owe her the $10,000 she is seeking.
On the flip side, somehow, some way, the judge did find me guilty of some sort of “instigating”. Really? Instigated what exactly? The judge found me not guilty of everything Adriana was accusing me of! That is amazing news. The judge even went as far to call Adriana, Maria Guadalupe and their friend “blatant liars”. But some how, some way I “instigated” something. I’m at a loss for words here. Yet I am not at a loss for words here. If “instigating” means I stuck to the truth and could not be bought, then I guess I instigated. I do not have all the details yet.
Alicia broke the news to me. She mentioned Carlos had all the details, which I will get tomorrow. She mentioned that she is obviously thrilled the judge saw Adriana, Maria Guadalupe Tenorio Toledano (AKA Lupita Tenorio, Marsha Tenorio) and their friend for who they really are. On the other hand, she feels that the judge had to save face to a degree with the “instigation” claim because they tried so many times to get Adriana to drop this case. And because the court wanted to give Adriana the benefit of the doubt as much as they could (home cooking and all), the judge did not drop the case like they should have. And the fact we did not take the judge up on her bribe offer to make sure the case went our way. The judge had to make something up in order to justify this complete waste of time to her bosses. If you think this scenario is completely unique to just the Mexican judicial system, you’d be wrong. It happens everywhere. That’s the underbelly dealing politically appointed judges no matter where they are in the world.
At the end of the day, it’s a huge blow for Adriana as the judge’s scathing critique of her, Maria Guadalupe and their friend is now officially part of the public record. For what that is worth, we are going to make sure every judge going forward gets a copy of this. The TV news people too. It’s the least we can do for all the bullshit Adriana put us through these last 15-months dangling the “I’ll drop the case” antics. Of course not being able to see the bigger picture, Adriana just fucked herself now because nobody will ever believe her where it really matters. I LOVE YOU SAM!
