Friday, March 4, 2011: Hi Sam! I cannot wait to see you tomorrow. Adriana Coronel Tenorio (AKA Adriana Howitt Coronel, Ari Coronel, Ari Coronel Tenorio, Ari Howitt, Ari Howitt Coronel) called three times in the last few days. Until today she did not leave a message. Although it was you who left me the message. I love to hear your voice Sam. I am sorry you are not feeling well. You had to stay home from school because of a nagging cough.
A couple days ago Alicia called. We had a setback in court regarding extending our time together. She could not get into it over the phone then so we met today in the office. It turns out that there are three family court judges in Tijuana. Every time we submit a petition, it’s luck of the draw as to which judge will read the request. We managed to find the one judge who would rather nit-pick over one word than letting a father spend more time with his daughter. It was not a big deal. At the same time, a formality is a setback. It’s not like the judge decided against our motion. So, we re-worded what the judge wanted and re-submitted the motion. Its the time wasted that gets to us. Alicia and Carlos are actually looking forward to putting Adriana on the stand to testify. If I was not living this, you would not believe it.
So as if there was not enough going on, I had a computer crash last week that prompted me to have to buy a new machine. I had a great run with my last computer. It lasted almost 5-years. People are shocked when I tell them that because systems should be upgraded every 3-4 years. The crash this week did not result in data loss like the last one. I learned my lesson on backing up my data. Anyway, I did not want to spend that money just yet even though I knew this was coming. Business has been getting better albeit it’s been slow gains in this economy which is still struggling.
