2-Years, 3-Months, 23-Days Into Wendy Samantha Coronel Tenorio’s Abduction

Saturday, March 5, 2011: Hi Sam! It was so great to see you my beautiful Princess! It was an interesting visit for many reasons. It was the first time I actually felt sorry for Adriana Coronel Tenorio (AKA Adriana Howitt Coronel, Ari Coronel, Ari Coronel Tenorio, Ari Howitt, Ari Howitt Coronel). More on that in a minute. I cherished the moment you jumped on my lap to work on the Disney puzzle book you got from the store. Then it was off to breakfast. I noticed that even watching you eat is something I cherish greatly given that basic right has been taken away from me.

You suggested we go fishing and the amusement park. I wish we had time for both and eventually settled on the amusement park. Once there, Adriana tried to shift the focus away from you and onto her. That is nothing new. It was not until you were playing in the inflatable castle did the conversation get interesting. Adriana mentioned that you were upset at her one day because of something that happened at school. One day in English class they asked you about your Dad. Your real Dad. ME! You were upset at Adriana because you did not know as much about me as the other kids knew about their Dad’s. I understand the frustration Sam. At the same time, for a 4-year old to know where their Dad was born, where their Dad lives and makes the World’s Best Pancakes is very impressive. I love the fact you told Adriana you were upset at her. I told her you have a lot more to be upset at than that. To which she just snickered and looked away. A sign she knows I am right but won’t do anything to find a peaceful resolution to all this.

Sam, it turns out you remember quite a bit. You know Littleman, our cat. You remember your Barbie Jeep and playhouse I built for you. By the way I still have these things. All the furniture where you sleep, you helped me build. Most importantly, you remember ME! No matter what Adriana tries to do, she will NEVER break that father-daughter bond. I LOVE YOU SAM! MANY KISSES!
