Thursday, June 30, 2011: Good news Sam. Adriana Coronel Tenorio (AKA Adriana Howitt Coronel, Ari Coronel, Ari Coronel Tenorio, Ari Howitt, Ari Howitt Coronel) did not blow off the meeting in the office of her attorney, Oscar Ivan Diaz Gomez. Bad news. It accomplished absolutely nothing. Never mind that just two days before we sat down in the guy’s office, Adriana mentioned how sorry she was for everything she has done and wanted to put everything behind us and do what is right for you. Believe me Sam, we had no illusions that Adriana actually meant that. Again, actions speaking louder than words, Adriana would compromise on anything. She did not even know what she wanted out of all this when asked point blank what exactly does she want. At one point, Alicia and Carlos had to restrain themselves from laughing at her. That is how bad she embarrassed herself. Again.

It was the usual stuff, stop me if you haven’t read about these before. At first she was trying to tell everyone that you and I do not have a bond. Then she said she does not want you to be a dual citizen and spend any time with me in the United States. Then she said the only way you would be able to come to the United States is only after she gets her visa because she wants to spend our time together with us. You can’t make this stuff up. Then Adriana goes on and on for 15-minutes in Spanish of course, She did not want to risk me understanding what she was saying, about how bad of a father I am and what a bad human being I am. This is where Alicia and Carlos almost starting laughing at her. At least we tried, again.

Sam, when you have time, go research the personality traits of parents who abduct their children. Adriana has exhibited every single one of them. Not most of them, all of them. She will have to answer to you someday. I would not want to be her when that day comes. At the same time, all the books on the subject tell us she will still play the victim and blame everyone else for all this. Mark my words. It’s exactly what narcissists and sociopaths do.

The event ended when we tried to negotiate my sponsoring of Adriana’s visa in exchange for her dropping the criminal case. She flat out told me “no” because they still “think they can win the case and use it against me at a later date” That is exactly what she said. Never mind the case is all bullshit and we proved it as such. Never mind its caused me and you an incredible hardship having to continue to clean up Adriana’s messes. Then she tells us she is going to take you to Puerto Vallarta or back to Irapuato someday. To which Carlos reminded her that she is prohibited by the court from taking you anywhere. I don’t think she cares what the court says. That’s obvious. There was nothing more to say after that. So we left. At least we tried Sam. I am sorry we were not able to breakthrough.

As if things could not get any more bizarre, the judge presiding over the criminal case is openly soliciting a bribe from us to swing the case my way. No joke. I heard this stuff happens in Mexico. I guess having all this go on for as long as we have, it was only a matter of time before we actually experienced it. This explains the delay in the decision I wrote about few days ago. So, now we have to see what this bribe is going to cost us.

Why am I not surprised by any of this???
