Saturday, August 20, 2011: Good Morning Sam! I am sitting at a Starbucks next to the border before I come see you. Actually I am taking the time to write before I head over in hopes of displacing any sense of frustration I have with Adriana Coronel Tenorio (AKA Adriana Howitt Coronel, Ari Coronel, Ari Coronel Tenorio, Ari Howitt, Ari Howitt Coronel) at the moment. There is a good chance you will not even be home when I get there.
Last week Adriana mentioned to me that she had to go to San Filipe on business. She asked me if I could come on Sunday instead of Saturday. Why you would have to join Adriana on a “business trip” is beyond me. I think it goes without saying that I don’t believe her. I asked her why she couldn’t leave you home with Maria Guadalupe Tenorio Toledano (AKA Lupita Tenorio, Marsha Tenorio). It’s not she has not done that before. At least this would make her more productive.
Adriana’s preferred mode of communicating is via text message. Yesterday I get an email from her instead. Not a phone call, not a text, an email. She hardly ever emails me knowing I only check email once a day if that. In the email she tells me how sad she is about how court went. The email continues to say she is in San Filipe with you and she needs me to come to see you on Sunday.
There are two things wrong with this:
1) I told her on Tuesday when I saw her in court that I would not help her. Without asking why, she acknowledged it and said “no problem” and that you will be home on Saturday.
2) I did not help out this time, not because of what happened in court, but because I am going out of town on actual business. Leaving Sunday assures I make my Monday morning meetings on time. Adriana knew that too.
Two weeks ago Adriana wanted to take you to San Filipe, a mini vacation before you started school. She obviously forgot about telling me that. It’s unfortunate that I have to even question this.
Suffice it to say, I have no idea if you will be home when I get there. Fingers crossed.
