Thursday, November 24, 2011: Happy Thanksgiving Sam! You may have a vague recollection of this American holiday. 4-years ago was our last one together. It’s my favorite holiday of the year. It’s a day to be thankful for what we have. I am extremely grateful and thankful for you Sweetheart. You are a healthy, vibrant, beautiful little girl. You have such a huge heart. You are healthy. You are smart and funny. I am humbled to be your Dad.
Words cannot describe the hurt I feel that you are not here. Yes, even after 3+ years. I have never gotten used to this. This year I am cooking Thanksgiving dinner. I actually like cooking. Its healthier than eating out. Although having Thanksgiving on the beach is pretty cool. I have a pretty nice ocean view that you would love. I am cooking in honor of you. It doesn’t take much for people to raise a glass and toast to the most wonderful daughter a Dad can have. I LOVE YOU! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
