Saturday, March 16, 2013: Hi Sam. I’m standing in line waiting to cross the border, processing out time together today like I have done every time I come down here. The vibe was a lot more mellow today. Although I was thrown for a loop when we got to the house and Isaias Palomeque’s (AKA Isaias Uzziel Palomeque, Isaias Palomeque Vergara, Project Manager at DJO Global) truck is sitting in front of the house. It had police stickers all over it. Not sure what that’s about. Never a dull moment with Adriana Coronel Tenorio (AKA Adriana Howitt Coronel, Ari Coronel, Ari Coronel Tenorio, Ari Howitt, Ari Howitt Coronel). That much is for sure.

The Mermaid Lalaloopsy was a huge hit. You loved it! I had to do something to erase the disappointment from last week. I think we did that. We talked about the Gatorade incident, I told you I was proud of you for speaking your mind. And after a couple chuckles we were past it and playing Lalaloopsy’s. To my surprise we are still dealing with Cabo though. That’s Adriana keeping that going. Why would any reasonable human being keep that up for this long? There is no reason to talk about it anymore.

That lead to an interesting conversation about why we are here in the first place. Adriana is definitely trying to spin her story because you started to tell me what it is. You caught yourself as you were about to tell me something important, stopping yourself by saying “this is for the older people to talk about”. I understand your need to feel like you are betraying Adriana by telling me things she tells you. I don’t blame you Sam. It’s part of the child abductors playbook. I get it. Adriana is freaking out right now. She’s not going to tell you the truth Sam. I hate to say it. She already admitted to the court the details of your abduction. It’s on court record. Then there is the mountain of evidence of all her crazy behavior over the years. Then there is this journal: the day-to-day as this saga continues to unfold. I have told Adriana for years that someday it’s going to be too late, that the truth will get to you eventually. Which is why it’s important to find a peaceful resolution to all this now. So, as this unfolds I will fill in the gaps as best I can while I try to keep Adriana from going completely off the reservation and doing something really dumb.

But I digress. The day started off being sequestered in the living room. Typical. Maria Guadalupe Tenorio Toledano (AKA Lupita Tenorio, Marsha Tenorio) grabbing toys to bring down for day. Today’s little surprise was that Yazmin Saad Guzman’s son is turning 4 today. He’s a cute kid. His birthday was at Carl’s Jr. at 1:00. I welcomed the opportunity to mingle with the parents of the other kids. This made Maria Guadalupe very nervous. I think she wanted me to leave, thinking I was going to cut my visit short. No fucking way. Nice try though.

So, as I sat back to take the scene in looking for photo ops when a man came up to me and introduced himself. It was your friend Isabell’s father Ed. Both Ed and Isabella’s mother, Linda, are very nice people. We sat down and talked for a good hour. I was feeling him out to see if he was fishing for information for Adriana or was just being cool. There was no way for anyone to know I would be there judging by Maria Guadalupe’s reaction to me staying. Not sure what any of these people know about what’s really going on. I wonder if it would be any help to us to start telling these people what the real deal is. I hate acting like everything is OK.

Eventually Adriana did show up. She did not stay long. Not sure if there is any tension with her and Yazmin. Then again it’s none of my business. Adriana was a little anxious to see me there. By the time I sat down across the table from her, she could not reach for sunglasses fast enough, granted we were indoors. Nothing says “I’m guilty of screwing you over” by putting on sunglasses in a dark room so you don’t have to make eye contact. Awesome. I kept the conversation light. Seeing her stew in her own guilt was good enough for me. Then off she went.

You were next in line to beat the piñata when the girl in front of you split that thing like a watermelon that got tossed off a building. Then it was a free for all for all the candy. It looked like everyone made out OK. At least 2 bags of candy each. You may not sleep until I get there next week with all that candy Sam. Have fun with it.

So, I am 90 minutes into this line. Almost there. Maybe another 30 minutes. I am getting good at typing with this BlackBerry – hahaha. I LOVE YOU SAM! Picnic time next week. KISSES!
