Monday, December 1, 2014: Today, I am sharing a picture with you that reminded me of Samantha. One of her favorite TV shows when she was 2-years old called “Into the Night Garden“. The main character was Makka Pakka. I could not explain the premise of the show. It was a kids show so it only made sense to them, make sense? The creative aspect of the show appealed to me. 6-years ago the show was filmed with true animation. A couple weeks ago I found myself flipping channels in between football games and ran into the TV show again. New episodes, mostly animated. Same characters. Same creativity. I could not watch the show a couple weeks ago without having a big smile on my face as it reminded me of Samantha giggling at the TV screaming “Makka Pakka, Makka Pakka!“. Before Adriana Coronel Tenorio (AKA Adriana Howitt Coronel, Ari Coronel, Ari Coronel Tenorio, Ari Howitt, Ari Howitt Coronel) abducted Samantha in 2008, Samantha and I would take the couch cushions and make a Makka Pakka castle out of them.

Fast forward to this past weekend. If you have not seen the TV show with Makka Pakka, Google or YouTube it. You will understand why this picture reminded me of Samantha. The picture was taken at the Ocean Institute as I watched yet another amazing sunset SoCal style. People like to stack up the smaller beach rocks on the big rocks. Some of the things people come up with defy gravity. Drive along the Coast Highway in Cardiff by the Sea or Solana Beach and you will see a ton of these mini-rock formations.

Suffice it to say, this formation caught my eye and instantly I thought of my beautiful Samantha and those days we would build the Makka Pakka castles from the couch cushions. I LOVE YOU SAM!!!
