Tuesday, December 9, 2008: Hi Sweetheart! How are you? Did you enjoy the sunset tonight? I hope your mother takes you to see the sunsets. I loved sharing them with you. I cannot wait to do it again with you soon. I have some good news and bad news. The good news is that we are continuing to make great progress. I met with the attorney’s today and they have all the paperwork done to present the case to the judge on Friday. We made some great friends in Mexico. People that really feel bad for what happened to you. We have a lot of support there. I could not be happier about that. Adriana Coronel Tenorio (AKA Adriana Howitt Coronel, Ari Coronel, Ari Coronel Tenorio, Ari Howitt, Ari Howitt Coronel) is going to freak when she finds that out.
We go to the judge on Friday. From there they will serve Adriana papers for the case against her. That is the good news. The bad news is that Adriana has 8-days to respond to the charges against her. When she sees the charges and realizes what she has done we hope she becomes accountable and responsible for what has happened. Unfortunately Adriana is not accountable or responsible for anything. That is why we do not get along. She may try to take you away again and go on the run. That would surprise no one.
The worst part is that I will probably not see you this Christmas. I did everything I could to make sure I could see you on Christmas. Time was never on our side for that to happen. I am sorry Sweetie. I hope your mother has a change of heart and somehow reaches out to me so we can spend Christmas together. I am not holding out any hope that will happen. This has been a very sad holiday season for me so far. We will still have Christmas, even if it is a little late.
While the events of the last 4-weeks have set me back, one thing it did do was make me realize how precious time is. I have a renewed sense of why I work so hard. It’s all for you Sam! That is what Dad’s do. At least that is what they should do. I look at all these pictures I have and remember as if it was yesterday when I took them. You have a great sense of humor Sam. You have an amazing spirit as well. You have always known how to make people laugh. I can’t wait to hear and see you laugh again!
