Thursday, March 25, 2010: Hi Sam! I just arrived home from Mexico. It was so amazing to spend time with you again. That is why this hurts so much right now. I just have to be a little more patient for April 1st to come. That is when the deadline for Adriana Coronel Tenorio (AKA Adriana Howitt Coronel, Ari Coronel, Ari Coronel Tenorio, Ari Howitt, Ari Howitt Coronel) to take action against the judgment from the appeal. She insists she does not want to deal with any more lawyers. Only time will tell if she is actually telling the truth.
After the Consulate, I talked to Adriana. Immediately she tells me she has to go meet a woman who she became friends with, although it turns out it she is a competing madam for a competing prostitution business. This is like the Twilight Zone. Adriana was actually selling this woman make-up. Incredible! Then it was on my way to see you.
You are so cute Sam. You heard I was there to here you and literally ran to give me a big hug, jumping into my arms. Followed by you pulling my hair hard and playing with my cheeks as I showered you with kisses. Obviously I did not mind one bit! I miss your laugh so much.
Adriana goes on to tell me she promised you a pet rabbit for being so good with the doctor. Yep. A white rabbit. Rabbits are cool. Adriana has no idea what it takes to take care of a rabbit. She thinks everything is like her grandma’s farm. Animals running wild everywhere. So, the plan was for us to go to lunch and find you a white rabbit. Guess what happens? Adriana get’s a call for one of her girls for the prostitution business. She has to go pick up the girl. Go to this guy’s hotel. Wait. Then drive the girl home. Then drive home herself. Adriana told me she was going to be gone at least 2-hours.
Oh well.
So, we drive to Rosarito and as we drive down the coast you and I were talking about the ocean and how beautiful it was. I knew where to find your white rabbit and a cage for it too. So, now you could actually charge admission to that house with all the animals in it: 1-dog, 2-geckos and now 1-rabbit. Oh I almost forgot, you inherited my allergies. The dog and rabbit are already doing you no favors in the allergy department. Sorry about that.
After all that, you wanted me to read to you. We read “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” and “The Princess”. Both are your favorite, but not as much as the new puppet I brought for you. You could not stop with it. It was adorable. Even more so, you fell asleep curled up right next to me. Before you nodded off, you try to explain the the set up in this new house. It sounds like it is better than the set up in the last house. You share the master with Adriana and this time there is plenty of room for your things. You are no longer living in a closet like before. The sad part is that Adriana does not realize that she does not have to worry about money if she only was able to find a compromise with me that makes everyone happy. She is out of control there and that is why she is panicked.
Today was also the festival at your school. I was so excited to see you perform! You were in a few of the skits your class performed. So beautiful Sam! I know you worked so hard for this and you should be proud! I had a lot of fun being there watching you. Unfortunately the time flew by and I had to get back to San Diego. Much to your dismay. I am so sorry. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH SAM! I know you are angry about me not being around. I know you don’t know how to express those feelings at such a young age. You are such an amazing little girl. I am so proud to be your Dad! I will make it down as often as I can.
