Tuesday, January 4, 2011: Hi Sam. I am standing in line to go back to the border. For the last 90-minutes I have been standing here thinking about what happened in court today. Unfortunately, today was complete waste of time.
The police finally showed up for us to cross examine. In addition, Adriana Coronel Tenorio’s (AKA Adriana Howitt Coronel, Ari Coronel, Ari Coronel Tenorio, Ari Howitt, Ari Howitt Coronel) own doctor who told us there was no way Adriana suffered the injuries she said she did was also in court. However for the third time the translator did not show up. That ruined the whole day. The translator was not very good to begin with, not to mention unreliable. I probably know more Spanish than this guy did. I have tried to get our own translator to avoid this. Ironically, I was told that these are court appointed translators. I come to find out they are not paid employees of the court. They actually volunteer! I’m sorry, someone please explain to me how an important function like this can be outsourced to volunteers??? The next court date is January 31st. If Adriana does what she said she was going to do and drop all this, then this is a moot point. The good news is that all she had to do is go to court anytime on her own. She does not need an attorney to do that. This is all on her now. In the meantime, I will stand here in line for another 90-minutes. KISSES MY BEAUTIFUL PRINCESS! I LOVE YOU!
