2-years, 11-months, 6-days into Samantha’s abduction

Sunday, October 16, 2011: Most normal people are asleep at 12:30AM on a Monday morning. Then again, after these last three years the word ‘normal’ ceases to exist in my vocabulary. Frankly I have not been able to sleep since Friday. I had a very insightful yet creepy conversation with Adriana Coronel Tenorio (AKA Adriana Howitt Coronel, Ari Coronel, Ari Coronel Tenorio, Ari Howitt, Ari Howitt Coronel). No joke Sam. At one point the hair on my arms stood up. I don’t know how the conversation of Axel Alvarez Coronel’s (AKA Axel Coronel) father came up, but it did. I never met the guy, but you have. Allegedly. Suffice it to say, that was only the beginning of the conversation. Adriana goes onto tell me that when Axel was 3 ½ years old, the same thing that is happening to you, happened to him. Abducted! This all happened in Irapuato.

Sam, I could not believe what I was hearing. Apparently this is all on public record. Can you understand how this would cause me not to sleep for two days? I realize I have to take what a pathological liar says with a grain of salt, but there is something telling me she is telling the truth on this one. Although there is only one way to know for sure being that it would all be on public record. Why would your mother tell me this? I don’t know. I am sick to my stomach over all this. It’s obvious to me now that Adriana knew exactly what to do to me these last three years – she has “been there done that” already.

The week started out interestingly enough. Adriana realized we were not falling for the usual “over-promise, under-deliver” tactic she enjoys. It annoyed her to the point where she fell back to the old reliable, “ignore Brian completely” mode. I actually welcome the non-drama even if it was for a few days.

Saturday rolls around and there is zero drama. We enjoyed breakfast burritos, and truth be told these things were massive. Each burrito was like 2 meals. At the house, it was Monster High all day. I could actually relate to why you like it. I would have watched it too had it been on when I was your age. On a sad note, one of your pigs died earlier in the week. Adriana tells me the neighbor poisoned an apple and threw it in the yard knowing the pig would eat it. That sounds a little odd to me because the pigs don’t make a lot of noise. Unless they have seen it up close, how would they know about them? Second, pigs by their very nature eat everything. It could have easily found something in the laundry room or garage, among other rooms of the house that was thought to be healthy and ate it. Who knows what really happened. It’s sad regardless. The pig actually grew on me so whatever happened I hope it happened quickly so she did not suffer. I still have bite marks on my shoes from when it tried to eat them. That’s what endeared me to her.

KISSES SAM…DADDY LOVES YOU!
