Saturday, February 9, 2013: Hi Sam. Another quick Saturday. It’s not easy to stand in this line to cross back into San Diego when I am thinking about how quick happiness on your face turns to sadness when it’s time for me to leave. My heart drowns in the sorrow with you Sam. I have never gotten used to that. You are blossoming into such a beautiful, vibrant little girl and it sickens me how Adriana Coronel Tenorio (AKA Adriana Howitt Coronel, Ari Coronel, Ari Coronel Tenorio, Ari Howitt, Ari Howitt Coronel) has done everything to steal 1/2 your identity away from you.
It makes me feel better when I think of how funny you are and the great sense of humor you have. I think of how angelic you look cuddled up next to me watching a movie or even just eating food or playing with your friends. You don’t see all this because I have to show a tougher exterior and front like everything is ok. I have to for us because we all know what Adriana is willing to do to when she blows a gasket.
We had a great day today Sam, in spite of all that’s going on. I think it’s important that you know why I have not been around as much as we both want. Its important to know who Adriana really is. Its important to know how much she could have made this better and instead turned it into an epic battle to maintain any sort of relationship with you.
On the other hand, we carry the weather within us as they say. I am glad the tickets for the soccer game fell through for a number of reasons. It’s cold outside and raining on and off so I do not feel so bad that it did not happen. We spent a good amount of time on your homework. I am so proud that you love school like you do. Don’t lose that Sam. It’s your ticket to an amazing life. No matter how tough it may get, never stop learning.
Afterwards, we watched the Monster High movie I brought for you. I like the show actually. I get the appeal. It’s pretty funny. So funny, we watched it twice. One of the episodes was a Valentine’s Day episode. Of course I took the opportunity to tell you that you were going to be my Valentine this week and you were in agreement. You even went as far as to point out what Valentine’s gifts you wanted from your Dad. I cannot help but smile as I write this, doing our pinky thing to lock it in. I LOVE YOU SAM!
