Wednesday, January 1, 2014: Happy New Year Sam! I miss you so much Sweetheart. This holiday season was no different than all the rest since your abduction. It has not gotten any easier. Is 2014 finally the year we see a peaceful resolution to this horrible situation? I hope so my Princess. I hope so. 5-years, 1-month and 21-days is long enough.
Last night, someone asked me what I am most grateful for as the year ended. I told them I am grateful for each new day I am allowed to walk on this Earth. Literally. Life really is amazing Sam. Life allowed me to feel. Life allowed me to make mistakes. Life allowed me to learn from those mistakes. Life allowed me to experience some really great things. Life allowed me to be your Dad.
