Sunday, May 3, 2015: HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAM! Wow, 9-years old! Time flies Beautiful. I don’t think a parent ever forgets when their kids are born. That is certainly the case with you. I remember that day as if it was yesterday. Hard to believe that after all these years, we are still dealing with the repercussions of what Adriana Coronel Tenorio (AKA Adriana Howitt Coronel, Ari Coronel, Ari Coronel Tenorio, Ari Howitt, Ari Howitt Coronel) has done to us. We can only hope that the new revelations from February bring a swift resolution to this once and for all. Most importantly Sam, make this birthday an epic one in-spite of all this. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAUTIFUL!

So today, I have friends running the OC Marathon. In fact they are running now while I write this. I have supported my friends for events like this because they support our situation and the jiu jitsu tournaments. I respect anyone that can run marathons. I think marathon runners are nuts. I mean really, does the thought of running 26.2 miles (42.2km) excite you Sam? I don’t even like to drive my car that far. My first attorney in Mexico, Alicia, she is an avid marathon runner. I mentioned her accomplishments many times in this journal. I have the utmost respect for marathon runners. I may be good for a 1/4 mile before I call it a day. Jiu Jitsu training does not require me to have that kind of stamina. Fight cardio is altogether different though. I need to be explosive and effective in bursts. Marathon running is a different kind of discipline, no doubt about it. That’s why I respect it. It’s grueling. When I go to events like this, I cannot help but be inspired. People of all ages, walks of life, physical ability, etc. are out there. Mothers pushing strollers with their kids. People with their dogs. Military veterans with missing arms and legs running with prosthetic limbs carrying the American flag. Little kids running with their parents. Its amazing to see.

Afterwards, I am heading over to a friend’s house to check out their litter of kittens. You can guess what that means. I am probably coming home with one. We will see. Littleman has been gone a while now. He probably would like to see another cat in the house. I will let you know how this plays out. This reminds me of the kitten you had me adopt for you before Adriana took off to Irapuato. The kitten with one eye. I forgot her name. She was adorable Sam. She loved seeing us together, remember? She would not leave us alone. I remember a couple weeks before Adriana pulled her disappearing act again, she tried to pawn the kitten off on me, saying you were allergic to her. I knew that to be bullshit because you loved that kitten. You were there when we picked her out. That was a red flag to the court official and me that Adriana was up to something. No question. Be that as it may. Today is your day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE YOU!!!
