Friday, December 25, 2015: Merry Christmas Sam. I hope Santa was good to you this year. He should have been for the amount of courage you displayed these last few months in court. I miss you Beautiful. In fact I am thinking about the dream I had about you last night. It takes place in Mexico. Not sure if it’s Irapuato or not. The authorities were going to actually arrest Adriana Coronel Tenorio (AKA Adriana Howitt Coronel, Ari Coronel, Ari Coronel Tenorio, Ari Howitt, Ari Howitt Coronel) for the criminal case she filed against me in Irapuato. So they planned this sting operation in order to prevent Adriana from going on the run again. Off in the distance, I was watching you play soccer with your friends in a park. At some point you get in a car with Adriana. Before the police stopped the car to arrest her, I woke up.

Since this is the 8th Christmas without you Sam I have tried to make the most of the holiday because it would be easy not to. Rather than exchange gifts for the holidays we decided having the experiences of travel as the experience would mean more. This does not make much sense as a kid, when you get older you realize Christmas is about family, friends and experiences. And yes for kids it’s about gifts. Believe me, I would rather be showering you with gifts today.

Until that happens, I am trying to make the most of it and keep my mind occupied. The last few years it was Las Vegas. Vegas never closes, even on Christmas. You’d be surprised how any people are in Las Vegas for the Christmas holiday. This year was different. This morning I woke up in San Francisco. I love this city Sam. If I did not live in Los Angeles, I would live here, hands down. It’s beautiful here. Like New York City, you do not need a car to get around.  Looking out the window of the hotel, I can see the Bay Bridge and the stadium where the Giants, Los Angeles Dodgers biggest rival, play baseball. Pretty cool.

Last night we went to the Oakland Raiders football game. Raider home games are always a great time. Best pregame party on the planet. One of the Raiders who I watch for the last 20+ years is retiring. Charles Woodson is his name. First ballot Hall of Famer. I remember watching him play football at the University of Michigan. Sad to see him hang ’em up but happy to see he is walking away healthy.

The flip-side to all this is that this may be the last game played in Oakland. There are rumors the Raiders may move to Los Angeles. They need a new stadium to play in. The Coliseum is old and the current economics of the NFL these days does not support old buildings like this if a team is going to thrive. Hopefully Oakland can figure out how to get it done. If it doesn’t, Los Angeles is ready to welcome the Raiders with open arms. Oh yeah, the Raiders won a close game against the San Diego Chargers. 23-20 in overtime.

After the game we had to hurry back to San Francisco for the Brian Setzer concert. Brian Setzer is always a good time. We were lucky enough to be staying 2 blocks from where the concert hall was. He was great as usual. It was cool to see kids your age enjoying the show too. I wish you were there with me Sam.

Tomorrow is a Christmas dinner cruise that travels all around the San Francisco Bay. That should be fun. Like I said earlier, I need the distraction to ward off the emptiness I feel by not being able to celebrate the holiday with you. I have a lot of thinking to do Sam. While Adriana continues to write these crazy comments on this website pretending to be someone else, she is home with you pretending that nothing wrong. It’s sick.

FELIZ NAVIDAD! TE AMO MIL OCHO MIL SAM!
