Saturday, October 17, 2009: How is my Princess doing today? I am at the beach this morning, wishing you were here. The sun is out and it beautiful to see it through the marine layer as it fades away.
Adriana Coronel Tenorio (AKA Adriana Howitt Coronel, Ari Coronel, Ari Coronel Tenorio, Ari Howitt, Ari Howitt Coronel) has let you leave me a lot of voice mails lately. It is so great to hear your voice Sam. Adriana told me you had an ear infection this week and had to go to the hospital. She tells me it came from a time you were at the beach and a parasite made its way into your ear and caused the infection. What gets me is that Adriana knows that I have had medical insurance for you since you were born. In Mexico insurance is not a normal thing. People usually have to pay cash for everything. However, I just found out that Mexico does accept American medical insurance.
Speaking of Mexico, I will be there Wednesday afternoon meeting with Alicia and Carlos. We finally received the resolution from the judge for paternity! I am finally recognized by the court as your Dad! We knew all along but for this case it was important to have it recognized legally. I mentioned it a few times over the Summer. What’s next? Wednesday we are going to try and get “Wendy” off the birth certificate. Wendy was never your name and no matter what Adriana says. That was crazy. Ill save that story for a rainy day.
One thing I learned throughout this whole process is that as good as Alicia and Carlos are, even they cannot predict how long this will take. So far they have been right on. The State Department keeps telling me what we have done in this time frame has been a miracle. I chalk it up to a Dad’s resolve to his Little Girl that he loves more than anything in this World. I am not sure there is a stronger force in the universe than that. I would move mountains for you Sam! I miss you so much! I know this is confusing to you right now. Dad loves you! I am doing everything I can. KISSES!
