Sunday, October 25, 2009: U2 Sam! Today is the U2 show at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles. U2 is my favorite band…ever. I have been going to their concerts for decades. Tonight they are playing in front of 100,000+ people at the Rose Bowl. Normally they play football games here. Concerts are very few and far between. This is a beautiful place Sam. I hope to take you here some day. The website said to treat this event like the Super Bowl was here. Here we are at 2:30 in the afternoon. A beautiful Southern California day. I wish you were here. U2 shows are a religious experience for me. This would have been an amazing event to take you to. I have not had much to cheer about this year. Being here today means quite a bit to me. I am getting emotional just writing this.
We are parked behind the Rose Bowl, behind section 13. U2 is doing their sound check right now. We can hear it where we are parked. On the fairway of the golf course that surrounds the Rose Bowl. In the meantime we have in the recording of the concert U2 show in Amsterdam back in July. People around us love it. As all this is going on, there is a healthy discussion among us about when I should share with you what has happened to us this past year. At some point you are going to want to know what really happened. You are so smart Sam. I am not worried about how all this will play out. I love you Sammy! I hope U2 will still be playing live when this is all over. I promise you we will be there together if they are. Kisses Little Princess!
