Sunday, April 5, 2009: Good Morning Beautiful! Sammy, I have great news for you! We finally saw Adriana Coronel Tenorio (AKA Adriana Howitt Coronel, Ari Coronel, Ari Coronel Tenorio, Ari Howitt, Ari Howitt Coronel) on Thursday morning! The last few days have been an emotional roller coaster, which is why I did not write before today. I was very nervous before Thursday. Crossing my fingers that there were no more surprises that would delay what we have been trying to do for the last 4-months. We deserve this moment! Everyone was excited about Thursday.
Thursday morning came. Alicia & Carlos were with the court officials. When they came to the house, they waited for a little while knocking on the door. Adriana knew she was finally caught. After Adriana acknowledged who she was, she went into shock as the court officials read to her the case against her. She could not believe we found her! According to authorities, Adriana kept looking around to see if I was there. Then she was sizing up everyone that was there – finally realizing that she’s been found out. I wish I could have been there to see the look on her face.
From this point forward, Adriana has been considered a flight risk by the courts and cannot leave Tijuana or she will go to jail. I don’t think Adriana cares about breaking the law otherwise she would not have done what she did in the first place. We have people watching her everyday. If she does leave, we will know when it happens.
After the authorities were finished telling Adriana what is going on, she started asking questions:
- “How do I get out of this quickly?”
- “Samy has another father. Isaias Palomeque (AKA Isaias Uzziel Palomeque, Isaias Palomeque Vergara, Project Manager at DJO Global) is Samy’s real father”
- “Brian and I never had a relationship, we never lived together”
- “I only hooked up with him when I was traveling through town”
- “Brian only went to Samy’s baptism as a friend of the family”
Notice, not one word of abuse. This whole confrontation is all on video. Adriana sold out Isaias Palomeque the moment we found where he helped her hide.
Based on her responses, Adriana does not have full comprehension of how serious this is. She was looking for somewhere to run and hide – something she has been doing all her life. Her responses were not of someone who was sorry for what she has done. Her responses were more like ‘who can she bribe to fix this’.
This was a big hurdle to clear for us. It took so long to get to this point. There were times when I thought this might not ever happen. Adriana has such disregard for what is right. It’s not just her, its Maria Guadalupe Tenorio Toledano (AKA Lupita Tenorio, Marsha Tenorio) too. So, Adriana has until April 17th to answer the charges in the case. It will be interesting to see what she does.
More importantly, the plan we have set has worked 100%. It’s taken a little longer to get here than we hoped but everything has worked they way we hoped it would. I am the luckiest Dad in the world to have such an amazing daughter! That is what makes this so hard for me. I LOVE YOU MY BEAUTIFUL PRINCESS!!! KEEP THE FAITH SAMY!!! KISSES!
