Thursday, June 28, 2012: Hi Sam. This last week has been interesting. It’s been a period of deep thought and introspection, trying to figure out a way to end this saga peacefully. At the same time struggling with the enormity of what’s transpired these last 4-years. I went back and documented the blog Adriana Coronel Tenorio (AKA Adriana Howitt Coronel, Ari Coronel, Ari Coronel Tenorio, Ari Howitt, Ari Howitt Coronel) has written and matched her posts with the actual events that took place that day. She started the blog a couple months before your abduction with her last post coming a couple months after she had ambushed by the Tijuana Police and me sent to La Mesa Prison for no reason.
If you remember we found the blog some time ago when we were looking for you in early 2009. As I put this site together I have included her blog posts in with mine. It important to see her mind set as the months and years have gone by. To see how cold and calculated she has been. On another note, I saw this week coming a mile away in some respects. Adriana has ignored me in large part when asked about what time I should come down on Saturday. When she decided to respond Adriana responded via email (her tell tale sign that she is going to lie to me, and she knows I will call her on it) and included a link to YouTube videos of a ballet performance you did at some festival. Then there were pictures from the birthday party you shared with Adriana 6-weeks after your birthday came and went. It’s was weird to see. After all this time this is still so surreal. Adriana and her entire family have been living a lie for years and could really care less. Nothing new there.
Sadly, I had found out a couple days ago that a guy that I train jiu jitsu with was a victim of parental child abduction at the hands of his mother. They did not leave the United States, however she took both boys from Los Angeles and moved to Seattle to be with another man. She left without warning or notice. Sound familiar? For months this guy’s mother told them they will see their Dad soon, however as time went by they realized she did not have any intention of letting them see their Dad. Eventually the guy ended up running away and found his way back to California. It took a long time to sort out. In the end, the guy’s brother still does not talk to his mother. It’s a devastating act of selfishness. This was 20-something years ago. He knew he still had a life to live. Slowly he’s trying to have a relationship with his mother. It hasn’t been easy.
It’s a cautionary tale because no matter how this turns out with the courts right now Sam, you will find the truth someday. Selfishness is the one thing Adriana excels at. Nobody will want to trade places with Adriana when that day comes and you discover her and her entire family had lied to you this whole time. That day will come.
I LOVE YOU SAM! I cannot wait to see you on Saturday.
