Saturday, July 19, 2014: Hi Sam. I am going to have some time as I sit in line to cross back into California. I figured I would make good use of it and update you on what happened with our visit today. When the court official and I got to the house, it was utter chaos. Two of your friends spent the night last night and when you saw us, you were angry. So naturally I asked you why you were so upset. Your responded by telling us that Adriana Coronel Tenorio (AKA Adriana Howitt Coronel, Ari Coronel, Ari Coronel Tenorio, Ari Howitt, Ari Howitt Coronel) told you we were not coming and as a result you wanted to be with your friends. I turned and asked Adriana why she would do that especially when I told her just yesterday we were going to be there for sure. Never able to think very well on her feet, Adriana said she did not tell you that. Lying right to your face Sam! Well, that did not sit well with you at all, “Don’t lie Mom, that is exactly what you told me!”
Get used to it Beautiful because Adriana lies to everyone. After I showed you the text message exchange I had with Adriana confirming we would be there, you were not happy. So, that is when Isaias Palomeque (AKA Isaias Uzziel Palomeque, Isaias Palomeque Vergara, Project Manager at DJO Global) came out of the kitchen. Yes, I said Isaias Palomeque, again. The moron had the nerve to tell me “Don’t argue in front of Sam.” This was right in front of the court official I might add. I told Palomeque, “Sit your fat ass down, this is none of your business. This is between Adriana and me. And don’t make the mistake of telling me or Sam what what to do again.” Knowing full well I was not backing down, he dropped his head to the floor much like he did in court, and retreated back to the kitchen.

Returning my attention to you Sam, I told you we can all have fun, even with her friends there. I know the two kids. These are Yazmin Saad Guzman’s kids and they love me. So there were no problems with your friends. You were still angry at Adriana and that frustration carried over into some interactions with one of your friend’s. Adriana was the cause for all this unpleasantness, yet saw that as an opportunity to continually interrupt us. I told Adriana to leave us alone, that we were OK. Kids need to figure out how to handle conflict on their own sometimes. The court official told Adriana the same thing.
It was at that time Palomeque left with Axel Alvarez Coronel (AKA Axel Coronel) to go somewhere but not before Adriana went upstairs to get Palomeque his jacket. I know, I know, rhetorical question, why would Palomeque’s jacket be upstairs? That’s a question you would think the Howitt’s would want to know the answer to (among others). The point is that when they left, the tension in the house left with him. The court official noticed it too.
The rest of the time with you Sam was peaceful. You were laughing and being yourself. As the court official was writing up his report, you and I were playing with Play Doh. I was teaching you how to re-hydrate Play Doh when it is left out of the container with no lid and dries up. Your eyes were as big as saucers mentioning how cool you thought that was. It was at that time when you asked me why Adriana and I are still fighting in court. I told you that I am not the one fighting, Adriana is. That we have been trying to figure out what will make Adriana happy in order to resolve this situation but Adriana does not want to. I mentioned to you that over 5 1/2 years is a long time to deal with something like this. It benefits no one. Oh yeah, Adriana was sitting right there listening to everything because she had to sign the court official’s court report for the visit.
This is when you told me that it would be nice to see me every day. I told you I could not agree more. It would be amazing to see you every day, but again Adriana is the one trying to take you away from me. Apparently Adriana is trying to plant seeds in your head because you told me that Adriana is afraid I was going to her what she did to me and kidnap you to the United States. Adriana is telling you this! I told you that is ironic because this is exactly what Adriana has been doing to us since 2008. That two “wrongs” will never make a “right”. That is the real reason why Adriana won’t let us go anywhere when I visit. She does not want us to have a normal father-daughter relationship.
When I pinky swear Sam, you know its gospel. I pinky swore with you that I would never do to Adriana what she has done to us. This happened right on front of Adriana and the court official. Adriana knows I would never do this to her. This is her poor excuse to justify her behavior. Noting more. Seriously, nobody in their right mind would to this to their kids if they really loved their kids. It doesn’t matter how good or bad the parents get along. Sad to say Sam, you know exactly how Adriana feels about you by her actions all these years, not her cheap words.
With that, you were happy again Sam and went on to ask me if I ever got a new cat after Littleman died. I told you I did not get a new cat yet, that after 17-years with Littleman, I have not gotten used to him being gone yet. The court official said he did not see me as a cat person. Adriana told him stories about how I spoiled Littleman all the time. Sam, you also added a few stories of your own remembering the time you used eat Littleman’s food thinking it was there for you. We all had a good laugh. The timing could not have been better. It just goes to show you Sam, all I ever wanted was for Adriana to be happy. With or without me. Adriana has know she has to stop with this lunacy at some point.
