We decided to do something different today. One of the things left behind parents think about is how to give back. Personally we have been blessed to have be surrounded by so many amazing people for all these years. How do we pay it forward? Its been an honor and a pleasure to have crossed paths with Enrique Gutierrez, founder of FindMyParent.org. Enrique is a left behind parent who’s daughter, Meline, was abducted by her mother and fled to Japan 2-years ago.
In the first 2-years when Samantha was abducted, I was just trying to get my head wrapped around what was going on. This was the period of time Adriana Coronel Tenorio (AKA Adriana Howitt Coronel, Ari Coronel, Ari Coronel Tenorio, Ari Howitt, Ari Howitt Coronel) had me ambushed by the Tijuana Police and thrown into La Mesa Prison for no reason. The first iteration of this website did not even come out until year 4 of tour ordeal. By no means did I have it together back then to start a foundation like FindMyParent.org.
Enrique is definitely on to something special. Recently, I was on the FindMyParent.Org podcast called “You’re Double“. It was an amazing experience. We touch on many topics in this wide ranging episode. I would encourage any left behind parent to get in touch with this wonderful group of people. Same goes for adults who were abducted and/or alienated as children.
