1-Year, 10-Months, 28-Days Into Wendy Samantha Coronel Tenorio’s Abduction AKA Samantha Howitt

1-Year, 10-Months, 28-Days Into Wendy Samantha Coronel Tenorio’s Abduction

Friday, October 8, 2010: So, I have been awake since 1:00 this morning. Its 1:15 PM and I am sitting in my car on the beach, top down, taking deep breaths inhaling the clean ocean air. It’s a warm and beautiful day. I survived the weekly cross back and forth from Tijuana to San Diego. Today was different. I could not sleep because I was so excited about our court date today. I met Alicia and Carlos for breakfast. They took the time to set my expectations for the day. All of us were excited to confront Adriana Coronel Tenorio (AKA Adriana Howitt Coronel, Ari Coronel, Ari Coronel Tenorio, Ari Howitt, Ari Howitt Coronel). One question we had was whether or not she was going to show up and if she did would she to continue to actually lie under oath in open court.

Sam, life works in mysterious ways. It took me a little while to process what happened today. Perhaps because I got very little sleep last night and the adrenaline that was running through my body was running out. Normally I am on the phone the entire time as I drive back from the border. Today I had the top down on the car. Radio on. Listening to U2. The beauty of the day wrapped around me like a blanket. Life allowing me to absorb the day’s events as I drive back up the coast.

So, I was told to be in court at 9:30. Finally Adriana, Maria Guadalupe Tenorio Toledano (AKA Lupita Tenorio, Marsha Tenorio) and their friend show up around 10:00. I never broke eye contact with any of them as they fixed their stares on the floor. Burning a hole in the tile and clearly avoiding eye contact with me. Cowards.

The court proceeding were delayed because the court translator did not show up. Of course we could not bring our own, we had to use the court appointed translator. Unfortunately for me, this is the same guy who made a lot of mistakes when I was trying to have my account of what happened on August 7th translated in court the day I came home from La Mesa Prison. Alicia’s English is really good, so at least she can make sure he does not mess up this time. Anyway, we had to reschedule for November 9th. In the meantime, the District Attorney got to see Adriana for the first time. They were stunned at the ease at which she was able to move her head. As if nothing ever happened to her neck as she claimed. No problems moving her head from side to side. And certainly no neck brace. Chalk up another one for Adriana and her under prepared and over-matched attorney, Oscar Ivan Diaz Gomez & Jhoana Gabriela Rubio Gonzalez. He apparently did nothing to prepare her for the day’s events.

This is an opportunity to reach out to Adriana before she makes the grave mistake of lying under oath in court on November 9th. I will wait for a few days, perhaps giving her until the 15th to reach out to me using my support for you as a reason to communicate. Let’s see what she is really willing to do. I am OK with letting her be the hero here. If she is smart she will take the olive branch. If she continues to listen to stupid people like Maria Guadalupe and Diaz Gomez, unfortunately she will have to face the consequences.

We battle on my Princess! DADDY LOVES YOU SAM! YOU ARE ALWAYS IN MY HEART!
