Thursday, January 16, 2014: Hi Beautiful! It was so nice to see you yesterday. I am sorry it had to be in court and in front of the judge like that. I suppose there is some sort of strange irony that yesterday was the anniversary of when I first met Adriana Coronel Tenorio (AKA Adriana Howitt Coronel, Ari Coronel, Ari Coronel Tenorio, Ari Howitt, Ari Howitt Coronel). Be that as it may, yesterday was crazy Sam. I don’t know how else to describe it. Nobody knew if Adriana would even show up. Why would she? After all she appealed this same meeting back in October. Why not appeal this again? When Lourdes and I pulled into the parking lot of the courthouse, there was Isaias Palomeque’s (AKA Isaias Uzziel Palomeque, Isaias Palomeque Vergara, Project Manager at DJO Global) truck. Suffice it to say we were both surprised, albeit pleasantly surprised. On the other hand we knew it was going to be a circus. And it certainly was that.

As we walk into the waiting room area of the court, Adriana brought the entire entourage: Maria Guadalupe Tenorio Toledano (AKA Lupita Tenorio, Marsha Tenorio), Axel Alvarez Coronel (AKA Axel Coronel), Palomeque, and of course you. Apparently Palomeque could care less Adriana is now a married woman. And like the coward he really is, he could not even look at me when I was face-to-face with him. Of course, they made sure you were not able to interact with me, which is why they were really there. And what court date would be complete without Maria Guadalupe and Adriana spending hours at the salon beforehand. Although Palomeque looked like he raided his grandfather’s closet but that is here nor there. Too bad all this effort would go to waste as this hearing was for Adriana, you and me exclusively. I am glad they spent all day sitting there doing nothing. They even pulled Axel out of school for this. That’s how stupid they are.

The judge spent time with you in her office first. I was able to get a peek inside to see you every time the door opened. There you were chatting away with your school outfit on. You kept looking back to see me, which was awesome! After a while, they asked me to join the room with you. At first you seemed angry with me. When I asked why, it was clear it was something Adriana and Maria Guadalupe have been planting into your mind because it made absolutely no sense. You made mention of a broken picture of you from when you did ballet. I had no idea what you were talking about. I asked when this happened. You mentioned you were not sure but it was a long time ago. I followed that up by asking why you never mentioned this before, especially the last time we spent time together. Again, you mentioned you did not know. It was then I knew Adriana put you up to this. I did say I was sorry, adding that I don’t remember what you were talking about. I did suggest we could replace the picture if that made you happy. That seemed to smooth things over. It did not hurt that I brought the DVD we made of the Lollaloopsy cartoon and a Christmas gift I did not have the chance to give you yet.

As all this was going on, Lourdes was trying to talk some sense into Adriana and her attorney Oscar Ivan Diaz Gomez. They were not having it. They are still angry that we knew about their secret petition in the other court; which blew up in their face in such spectacular fashion. In fact Oscar Ivan Diaz Gomez could not even look at me when we were fact-to-face. Not that he is any good at what he does anyway. Then the hearing starts. For the next 20-minutes it was nothing but Adriana spewing her typical stories of abuse and aggression. Telling everyone the same lies about me because she has nothing else to say. HOWEVER, if you give Adriana enough time, she will eventually hang herself. She always does. Later on in the hearing Adriana told the court that her family loves me, Mara Coronel (AKA Mara Mireles Coronel, Mariana Coronel or Mariana Mireles Coronel) and her 3 kids, her Dad…THEY ALL LOVE ME. Axel loved me. Even Maria Guadalupe loved me. Everyone’s mouths dropped, they could not believe what they just heard.

When it was my turn to speak, I did not get nearly enough time and was interrupted at every turn. The judge wanted to play the “forgive and forget” game and right away I knew it was going to be a long day. I explained to the judge that I already forgave Adriana for all the crazy things she has done, however I will not forget. In order to be able to fix this situation, the judge must educate herself on what is wrong. How can you fix something when nobody wants to know what the problem is? All of these situations are met with utter failure because these same people don’t take the time to understand what caused the problems in the first place. It’s like going to the mechanic and telling him your car is broken but can’t tell him/her what’s wrong. What are the symptoms? That’s what we have here. Adriana is one of the best bullshitters ever. We have heard this song and dance many times before. And if you wait long enough, Adriana herself will contradict everything she says.

At one point I was ready to walk out of the meeting. It was just another waste of time for me. I literally stood up and told the judge that unless we stop the nonsense and find a compromise I was leaving and that the next stop for me was the DA’s office to execute the arrest warrant that has been waiting for Adriana. Call my bluff if you like because I spent the hour before this hearing signing the paperwork. Adriana was about get sick hearing that. She was literally reaching for a trash can to vomit into. The judge saw the dynamic change instantly and saved Adriana in a sense after I reminded the room it was this judge’s idea to put Adriana in jail in the first place. The judge encouraged the lawyers to get together and talk.

For the next 90-minutes all I heard was the judge try and take more visiting hours away from me yet in the same breath strongly encourage me to give Adriana more money to misuse. Money, money, money, money, money. Finally I asked the judge, are we here for you to try and squeeze more money out of me or are we here to talk about the best interests of my daughter?”

The DA and DIF were both in the room and both actually agreed with me that it made no sense to make me pay more to see you less. In fact I offered to pay for EVERYTHING when it comes to Samantha if I got to see her more. And while the judge, the DA and DIF agreed, in true fashion, Adriana said “no”. Really Adriana???

Sam, Adriana had yet another chance to end this situation peacefully and amicably and be the hero. She could have ended all of this right then and there. And she choose NO instead! So, after Adriana gave her best “babe in the woods routine” to date (AKA: “I don’t want to argue anymore; all that matters is making my daughter happy” speech), I offered to pay for everything when it comes to you in order to spend more time with you. Everyone in the room was delighted. Except Adriana who declined.

The end result, we agreed that visits would take place every other Saturday for 8-hours. More importantly visits were away from the house and in public! The only caveat for the time being is that Adriana would be with us. Anyone else would have to be pre-approved by me and the judge. Lourdes and Jorge were skeptical by Adriana’s sudden change in attitude to be so agreeable. I echoed those same sentiments. Something was up. Adriana has no intention of complying so easily. I know Adriana too well. I told the judge “I want this in writing because everyone is talking about operating in good faith and the one person who never operates in good faith is Adriana. I know how she thinks and I know how her scumbag attorney (Oscar Ivan Diaz Gomez) thinks.” This almost created a mutiny for some reason. I am the only one with any goddamn brains that that room. Really?? “Operate in good faith”? Are you kidding me? So finally they agreed and gave Adriana’s attorney, Oscar Ivan Diaz Gomez, 2-weeks to have Adriana sign the agreement. I told Oscar Ivan Diaz Gomez to get it done or don’t do it because on day 15 Adriana was going to jail. If they have nothing to hide, what’s the big deal? I wanted provisions in writing as to what happens when Adriana violates the court order. Notice I said “when” and not “if”. That created quite a stir too. I admit this is a good start to a permanent resolution, and having all this in writing protects everyone. Perhaps I should be worried about all the push back from the court about getting this in writing. That part smelled bad but I know I’m walking into something. Another ambush perhaps. This feels like a setup. I really hope I am wrong.

As we were leaving, Adriana was back to her old tricks mentioning the irony that the court date was on the anniversary of when her and I first met. She even included you in on the little factoid of the day. Yet in the same breath she would not allow you to even say “good-bye” to me. Saturday will be interesting because I know Adriana and she never keeps her word. Never.

Sam, I am so sorry you have to endure this. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
